3D rendering of overdentures in a mouth Dentures today come with options, they are not the same dentures that your parents would have had. We can help you have dentures that look better, work better, and best of all, feel better. Our staff at Kevin Kay DDS Comprehensive Family Dentistry can help you have dentures that stay firmly in place. We offer Bar-Retained, Implant-Supported Overdentures, Ball-Retained, and the All-on-4® Treatment Concept which is a full arch dental bridge supported by four dental implants. We invite you to learn more about these options and more through a consultation with our team.

If you suffer from significant tooth loss, we can help. Tooth loss can be problematic for your diet, your self esteem and more. Perhaps you have already tried wearing traditional comprehensive dentures, but need a solution with more stability and functionality. Traditional loose dentures come with a lot of frustrations and only limited function. Our team at Kevin Kay DDS Comprehensive Family Dentistry can help.

Dental implants have broadened the options of what we can do to stabilize your dentures. Dental implants are a post that we can surgically embed into your jawbone to create a firm anchor in your mouth. Once an anchor has been established, we can use it to secure your denture firmly in place.

Implant secured dentures come with options, we invite you to discover the differences and advantages of each type.

•  Bar-Retained, Implant-Supported Overdenture: This system uses a combination of dental implants and a support bar system. The denture is able to hook onto the bar system allowing it to be held firm while in place but still removable as needed. This may be ideal for patients who want to remove their denture for cleaning while still having the denture stable when needed.
•  Ball-Retained, Implant-Supported Overdenture: This system uses dental implants that are then topped with a prosthetic that allows for the denture system to be snapped on and off. This allows the patient to have a firm denture while it is snapped in place, and the ability to unsnap and remove the device as needed.
•  All-on-4® Treatment Concept: This system is sometimes referred to as a full arch bridge, or a complete arch bridge. This system begins with the surgical implantation of four dental implants, they will serve as anchors in your mouth. The All on 4 system uses implants that are longer in length than other implant procedures, making a bone graft generally unnecessary. Once in place, the All on 4 system is not removable, it is permanently in place.

The Aesthetic Quality Available

Past dentures were not known for their true-to-life aesthetic. They were plastic teeth in a pink plastic mold. Today, dentures have come a long way. Besides retention, dentures have come a long way in the materials that are used and the look they have. Dental labs today have access to better materials and the technology to create much more lifelike dentures.

Choosing The Right Option

With so many options, we can find the right one for you. Dentures do not have to be the significant life change that it was for generations past. Treatment begins with a simple consultation. If you are interested in implant-supported dentures, call us today at (425) 738-8476.
