Ways Dental Implant Could Improve Your Quality of Life

Posted on 3/30/2020 by office
Ways Dental Implant Could Improve Your Quality of LifeDental implants are devices that resemble natural teeth. They are made of three main pieces: a screw, and abutment, and a false tooth. Dental implants are one of the only devices which can restore jawbone density. Dental implants are installed for a variety of reasons. However, the most common is so that you can take care of your teeth properly.

When you're missing a tooth, bacteria can collect in the pocket where your tooth used to be. Of course, you can brush this area. However, bacteria can find its way into places a brush or floss can't reach. This may lead to gum disease or tooth decay of the adjacent teeth. Bacteria also will have an easier time entering your blood stream, which can cause clogged arteries.

Dental Implants are Good for Enjoying the Foods You Enjoy

If you've heard anything about dental implants, you may know they can be quite the investment. While the cost of a dental implant is high, they have many great benefits. Besides promoting better oral health, they allow people to enjoy the foods they used to enjoy. Missing teeth makes it more difficult to eat properly and can even be painful. A dental implant gives back the ability to eat harder foods. Plus, they make it less likely to damage your gums while eating.

Dental Implants Give You Confidence

People who are missing teeth often come to us and say they are worried about their appearance. Many of these people even say they refrain from smiling. We believe everyone should have a beautiful smile. Dental implants can give you the smile you deserve and boost your confidence. For more information on how to get dental implants, please give us a call at our office. We'd be happy to set up a consultation to see if dental implants are the right option for you.
