Did You Know That Telling Us About Your Dental Fears Can Help You Overcome Them?

Did You Know That Telling Us About Your Dental Fears Can Help You Overcome Them? There are a ton of people who are deathly afraid of going to the dentist. In fact, 75% of us have at least a momentary fear of the dentist. Of those 75%, between 5% and 10% of people are so afraid to go to the dentist, they avoid going all together.

Did you know that if you let us know about your dental fears, we could help you overcome them? Here are some of the reasons people give for not visiting the dentist, and our ways to help you cope.

All Those Really Sharp Tools

One of a dental patients' greatest fears is the dental instruments themselves. If you let us know that this is your fear, we can show you the tools ahead of time, and let you know what they are used for. We also use far different tools now than were used in the past. In fact, one of our greatest tools we use is water. We have water to super clean your teeth without all the tools.

Gag Me
A lot of people have issues with their gag reflex. This is especially true with dental x-rays, which make a lot of people gag. We have the solution: panoramic x-rays. We can take pictures of your teeth without you biting down on anything. What a relief!

The Sounds of the Dental Drill

Many people also don't like the sound of a dental drill. However, if we use noise cancelling headphones, you won't be able to hear a thing, which means you can relax. In fact, you can wear those noise cancelling headphones for any procedure you want.

If you are really nervous about going to the dentist, why not give us a call? We have lots of options to help you relax. Contact us today!
